Three teenagers were remanded at Limassol district court on Friday in connection with the theft of some €8,000 from a woman’s money jar. Kiosk robbery

Two persons wearing baseball caps were reported to police for entering a Nicosia kiosk at around 9.20pm on Tuesday night and taking the money in the cash register.  One of them punched the 22-year-old shop assistant before the two ran off with the money. Police are investigating the incident.

Money and other items were stolen from a kiosk in Ayios Athanasios, Limassol and the employee threatened at knifepoint in the early morning hours on Friday. At 4.35am the two thieves entered the kiosk with their faces covered. One of them was holding a knife. They helped themselves to money and several items before they fled on foot. Police officers force examined the scene and the wider area in an effort to identify the thieves.

Cypriots charged with money laundering in Fiji

Two Cypriot nationals charged with multiple counts of money laundering in Fiji will be appearing in court there on Friday. Brothers Loizos Petridis and Kleanthis Petridis, were allegedly involved in multiple suspicious ATM transactions last month and are currently being held in police custody. They face a total of 293 counts of money laundering. The two men were earlier jointly charged with six counts of money laundering involving $3,060, but the money seized from them totalled $150,000.

Vassiliou willing to pay back expenses from 2000 if asked
